Expulsion is almost never easy.

Humans are interconnected. Telling a person that he/she/they has to leave rubs up against that inter-connectivity.

And, sometimes separating is the most compassionate and effective way to move forward.

Sometimes living in separate houses is the best way to co-exist in society
